The camp in Calais is a squalid, sprawling mess of mud, tents and piles of rubbish. The first place we visit is the first aid caravan to meet Iri, a volunteer medic who is working across Christmas. The only real sign of festivities are two Christmas trees outside the makeshift St Michael's Church in the Eritrean quarter of this tented town.
